Meant to provide guidance for presenting data necessary to distinguish the reliability characteristics of a component. The data may relate to failure rates and failures or it may be data on changes (or drift) of characteristics. With the possession of such factual information, the circuit and equipment designer should be able to assess the reliability of his units and circuits. The information will come from reliability tests made on the electronic components in laboratories.
