Meant to provide guidance for presenting data necessary to distinguish the reliability characteristics of a component. The data may relate to failure rates or failures or it may be data on changes (or drift) of characteristics. With the possession of such factual information, the equipment and circuit designer should be able to assess the reliability of his units and circuits. The information will come from reliability tests made on the electronic components in laboratories.
