Provides performance requirements for disposable hypodermic syringes intended for use with humans but permits some variation of design and of methods of packaging and sterilisation. Gives guidance on size ranges, capacities, materials and methods of manufacture, on the graduated scale, barrel, piston/plunger assembly and nozzle, and on the performance of the assembled syringe.
