The set of rules establishes requirements for the calculation, taking into account seismic loads, for space-planning decisions and the design of elements and their connections, buildings and structures, ensuring their seismic resistance. The set of rules applies to the area of designing buildings and structures erected on sites with seismicity of 7, 8 and 9 points. On sites, the seismicity of which exceeds 9 points, to build buildings and structures, as a rule, is not allowed. The design and construction of a building or structure on such sites is carried out in the manner prescribed by the authorized federal executive body.
