Describes mechanical properties of set screws and similar fasteners not under tensile stresses in the range 1,6 to 39mm thread diameter which are made of carbon steel or alloy steel. Excludes screws requiring special properties, e.g., specified tensile stresses (see ISO 898/1), weldability, corrosion resistance (see ISO 3506) and ability to withstand temperatures above +300 degrees C or below -50 degrees C.
