Specifies acronyms, terms and abbreviations to be used in forensic identification and with Automated Fingerprint Identification Systems. Includes terms unique to a given AFIS as well as those common to all systems. Gives a basis for understanding between the suppliers, the buyers and users of AFIS. Can be incorporated by reference in Request for Proposals, Statements of Requirements, Specifications or other materials used in the definition and procurement of AFIS.
