CONTAINED IN VOL. 11.02, 2005Outlines a method for detecting enterococci in water and wastewater, based on IDEXX's patented Defined Substrate Technology (DST). Enterolert uses a nutrient indicator which fluoresces when metabolized. It is able to detect bacteria at one colony forming unit (CFU)/100 mL within 24 h.
