This standard is included in DIN Handbook 264. Encompasses the steels generally used for ball and roller bearing components (balls, rollers, needles, races and discs). It applies to the steel grades listed in Table 1 and to the product shapes and heat treatment conditions and surface conditions featured in Table 2.
