Specifies electrical safety requirements, to be read in conjunction with NZS/AS 3100. Applies to devices with self-contained electric motor or vibrator actuation of cutters for removal of beard, or for trimming of hair on a person or animal, along with any associated connector, cord, resistance or transformer; for domestic or commercial use. Does not apply to other appliances for skin and hair care (see NZS 6323/AS 3304), nor to sheep shearing devices.
