Applies to belt conveyors for the conveying of bulk materials and it contains the basic principles for the calculation and design of such conveyors. It enables the most important characteristics of the main components of the belt conveyor, such as the driving, braking and belt tensioning equipment, and the conveyor belt itself, to be laid down in function of the specified conveying requirement.
