Proposes dimensions and certain other properties of endless wedge belt and V-belts and their corresponding grooved pulleys for power transmission. Appendices provide recommended power ratings, information on and examples of design of belt drives, as well as recommendations on installation and storage. Methods of determination of electrical resistance and fire-resistance properties are also provided in the appendices. Not applicable to industrial variable speed drives employing pulleys with movable flanges. Performance test data regarding power transmission is not included.
