A re-edition of Clause 3 of IEC Publication 540: Test methods for insulations and sheaths of electrical cables and cords (elastomeric and thermoplastic compounds). Part 1 (Publication 885-1) and Part 2 (Publication 885-2) regroups the electrical test methods for electric cables. IEC Publication 885-1 and 885-2 in conjunction with the series of IEC Publication 811: Common test methods for insulating and sheathing materials of electric cables, replaces IEC Publication 540.
