A method of testing the leaktightness of: single sockets of unplasticized poly (vinyl chloride) (PVC-U); sockets of PVC-U fittings; double sockets of PVC-U; with elastomeric sealing rings are defined. Applicable to elastomeric-sealing-ring-type socket joints conforming to EN 1452-2 OR ISO 422-2 intended for use with PVC-U pressure pipes.
