CONTAINED IN VOL 06.02, 2001Deals with a small-scale laboratory procedure for determining the self heating tendency of oil-based art materials by exposure to raised temperatures in air in a controlled semi-adiabatic system.Developed to deal with an urgent need for identifying materials that may need labeling for spontaneous heating tendency. Studies based on the procedure may permit the development of a practice to identify such materials.
