Description of Contents of Code: Establishes the requirements for periodic examination and for preservice and inservice testing to assess the operational readiness used in nuclear power plants. Covers equipment used in systems required to perform a specific function in shutting down a reactor to the cold shutdown condition, or in mitigating the consequences of an accident. Establishes examination and test methods, intervals, parameters to be measured and evaluated, acceptance criteria, corrective actions, and records requirements.
