1.1 This standard deals with the laying of pressure pipes for water, gas and other fluids below ground, including those laid in ducts and pipe sleeves, or which pass under buildings.1.2 This standard does not deal with the associated earthworks (cf. DIN18300), with trench supports (cf. DIN 18303), and with the installation of gas, water and drainage pipework inside buildings (cf. DIN 18381).1.3 Clauses 1 to 5 of DIN 18299 shall also apply. In cases where the specifications of DIN 18299 contradict the present standard, the latter shall take precedence.
