Proposes to amalgamate the four current compressed gas cylinder identification Standards into one document. As a consequence of this amalgamation, it is proposed that AS 1942, AS 1943, AS 1944 and AS 2992 be withdrawn. It also stresses that the cylinder label is to be the primary means of identification and safety information, while colour is a secondary means of identification only.
