DIN 46400 Part 1 specifies the maximum values of hysteresis loss for non-oriented, finally annealed magnetic sheet and strip at a frequency of 50 Hz. These values, however, do not permit correlation with the hysteresis loss at frequencies exceeding 100 Hz, although there is a relationship between resistivity and hysteresis loss at such frequencies (see [1]), this not being the case at 50 Hz. This supplement proposed a method for estimating the hysteresis loss of such products at higher frequencies.
