Applies to portable hand-held chain saws (internal combustion engine saws and electric saws; 'saws', for short) and specifies a method of measuring the vibration of such saws (identified by code number 61.212.2 in DIN 8800, September 1971 edition), the measurements being made as described in DIN 45675-1. It provides specifications supplementary to DIN 45674-1, the aim being to enable characteristic results to be obtained by measuring the vibration on saw handles under conditions closely resembling those in actual service.
