SHOULD BE READ IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE RELEVANT SECTIONS OF BS EN 60704-2 WHICH SUPPLEMENTS OR MODIFIES CLAUSES IN THIS STANDARD. Gives general requirements for a test code for the determination of airborne acoustical noise emitted by household and similar electrical appliances, supplied from mains or from batteries. Does not apply to: appliances which are integrated parts of a building or its installations; appliances, equipment or machines designed exclusively for industrial or professional purposes; appliances for outdoor use; separate motors or generators.
