States the characteristics of star-delta starters; the conditions with which starters must comply (referring to their dielectric properties; their operation and behaviour; and the degrees of protection provided by their enclosures); the tests meant for confirming the meeting of these conditions, and the methods to be adopted for these tests; and the data to be marked on the apparatus. Applies only to starters, the main contacts of which are meant to be connected to circuits; the latter do not have a rated voltage of over 1,000 V a.c.
