Defines the performance requirements and the test methods for type testing of cable accessories for use with power distribution cables of rated voltage 0,6/1,0 (1,2) kV as defined in HD 603 or other relevant cable standards.

Together with BS 7888-4.1(2006), BS 7888-4.2(2006) and BS EN 61442 it supersedes BS 7888-1(1998) and BS 7888-2(1998). Supersedes BS 7888-3(1998) and 03/310347 DC. (08/2006) Together with BS 7933-1(2007) and BS 7933-2(2007), supersedes BS 6910-1(1988). (03/2008) 2006 Edition with it's corrigendum remains active & will be withdrawn on 08/12/2017.
