Defines syntax for embedding SQL-statements in a compilation unit that otherwise complies with the standard for a particular programming language. Also defines how an equivalent unit may bederived that complies with the particular programming languagestandard. Gives syntax for direct invocation or SQL-statements, and SQL language to support dynamic preparation and execution of SQL-statements.
