Applies to lettering according to DIN 16 518, Group VI. Tries to specify a restricted number of lettering families of the type, "Sanserif", which are thought to be in everyday use and which meet the requirement for distinctiveness with their easily and clearly legible basic forms. Also covers terms for lettering, lettering group, lettering sort and lettering style/type family.
