This standard, in conjunction with DIN 3352 Part 1, specifies the face-to-face dimensions, pipe mating dimensions and space requirement dimensions, designs, materials, methods of testing and marking of general purpose cast iron gate valves with metallic seat and outside screw stem, of the following nominal sizes: DN 40 up to and including DN 1000 for pressure ratings PN 1 up to and including PN 10 (isomorphic series), DN 40 up to and including DN 600 for pressure ratings PN 10 and PN 16, and DN 40 up to and including DN 500 for pressure ratings PN 25 and PN 40.
