General notes:
EN ISO 8835-3:2009 had not been previously implemented as a British Standard because of safety concerns and it was subject to a formal appeal against ratification by BSI. The previous edition, EN ISO 8835-3:2007, was not implemented as a British standard for the same reason. The concern over safety has now been removed by the incorporation of amendment 1:2010.
