Proposes the adoption of IEC 947-4-2:1995 which applies to controllers and starters intended to be connected to circuits, the rated voltage of which does not exceed 1 000 V a.c and which use power semiconductor switching elements for simple starting and stopping, controlled starting and stopping, manoeuvring and controlled running of induction motors. Copies of IEC 947-4-2 may be purchased from or viewed at any Standards Australia office.
