Gives a guide that reproduces terminology from existing International Standards that relate to fire (principally fire tests) particularly technical fields. In some cases, the existing definitions differ and this guide suggests a preferred "universal" terminology to help harmonization in the future. The definitions are meant to serve as a basis for consideration by the committees that are concerned when revising their existing standards.
