Specifies requirements for detaching hooks and associated catchplate/detaching bells used in vertical shaft mine winding conveyance suspension equipment for underground mines. Design, materials, construction, marking, and testing are specified. Appendices provide guidelines for the design of the hook region, and give permissible imperfections for magnetic particle inspection.
