Covers equipment designed for connection to a telecommunications network termination. It applies regardless of ownership or responsibility for installation or maintenance of equipment, and regardless of source of power supply. Covers requirements and compliance criteria under three headings; safety of equipment users from hazards in the equipment, safety of service personnel working on telecommunication network and other users from hazardous conditions resulting from connection of equipment, and safety of equipment users from voltages on the telecommunication network.
