This standard is included in DIN DVS Handbook 8 and 191. Specifies requirements for classification of covered electrodes and deposited metal in the as-welded condition for manual metal arc welding of non alloy and fine grain steels. Coverage includes: symbol for impact properties of all-weld metal; symbol for type of electrode covering; symbol for welding position; symbol for strength and elongation of all-weld metal; preheating and interpass temperatures; symbol for the product/process.
