Applies to the emergency lighting of interiors; it may also be applied analogously to the emergency lighting of outdoor areas, where these are used for the same purpose as the corresponding interiors. Compliance with this standard ensures that in most cases the photometric stipulations laid down in the laws on occupational safety, accident prevention, building construction, and on plants subject to mandatory inspection, are also met. Consideration shall also be given to any other government regulations that are in force, the rule being that the more stringent requirements in each case is the one to be complied with.
