This standard is applicable to general safety requirements for electrical equipment intended for professional, industrial process, and educational use, including equipment and computing devices for electrically-powered laboratory centrifuges. This Part 2 is intended to be used in conjunction with IEC 1010-1 (UL 3101-1). This cover does not cover reliable function, performance or other properties of the equipment; servicing (repair) personnel; Precautions which may need to be observed when centrifuging materials which are flammable or explosive, or that chemically react vigorously.
