The specified requirements should primarily detect and prevent any nonconformity during production and installation and implement the means to prevent its recurrence. Applies in contracts when: confidence in product conformance can be reached by satisfactory demonstration of a certain supplier's capabilities in installation and production; the specified requirements for product are stated as a specification or as an established design.
