This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the limit gauges, hereinafter referred to as the "limit gauges for screw threads", to be used for dimensional inspection of parallel pipe threads (G) specified in JIS B 0202 and the gauges to be used in their checking, hereinafter referred to as the "gauges for checking". In addition, the limit gauges for screw threads and the gauges for checks are generically called as the gauges. Furthermore, the limit gauges for screw threads and the gauges for checking applicable to the parallel pipe threads (PE) specified in JIS B 0202 are in accordance with Appendix.
