Applies to penetrant systems used for testing in accordance with DIN 54152 Part 1. It describes methods of determining and checking the main properties of penetrant inspection materials ('process material', for short) to detect changes in those properties and thus minimize the risk of damage to the components tested due to corrosion caused by the process materials used.
