Defines a language independent nucleus of a graphics system for use with the language C & A detailed standard compressing 300 pages and including The C language binding of PHIGS, conformance, functions versus macros, character strings, function identifiers, registration, identifiers for graphics items, return values, header files, inquiry functions which return simple lists, error codes, C specifies PHIGS errors, storage of matrices, storage of colour arrays, table of abbreviations, list ordered alphabetically by PHIGS function name, mapping of PHIGS data types, environmental type definitions, implementation dependent type definitions and much more.
