The object of the testing is to determine the losses in weight of plasticizers occurring at elevated temperature. In addition it serves generally for a quantitative determination of the loss in weight of such constituents in plastics (including surface coating raw materials and surface coating films) which display appreciable volatility, particularly above room temperature.
