This standard is included in DIN Handbook 1, 1 E,14, 11-1, 151 and 167. Applies to conical tapers with taper angle alpha up to 165degree for general ranges of application. It does not apply to special cases such as bevel gear tooth systems. It is the purpose of these provisions to secure a reduction in the range of tools, gauges and measuring instruments required for manufacturing and testing through application of the recommended preferred values for conical tapers.
