Proposes the adoption of ISO/IEC 8825-2:1996, which specifies a set of encoding rules (packed encoding rules) which may be used to derive a transfer syntax for type values defined using ASN.1 notation. Proposed as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard. The complete text can be viewed at the Sydney and Melbourne Information Centres of Standards Australia or at Standards New Zealand. Arrangements can be made to view copies at other Standards Australia branches if required.
