This Standard deals with the safety of electrical appliances for household and similar purposes, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V for single-phase appliances and 480 V for other appliances. Battery-operated appliances and other d.c. supplied appliances are within the scope of this standard. Amendment 2 applies to Contents, Foreword and Clause 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 16, 19, 22, 23, 24, 25, 27, 28, 29 and Figures and Annexes and Bibliography.
