Specifies concepts, nominal sizes and requirements regarding the construction, marking and testing of interceptor systems that separate solid and liquid organic fats and oils from waste water by the effect of gravity, thus preventing them from penetrating into the sewerage system. Such systems are deemed to be components of drainage systems as specified in the DIN 1986 series of standards.
