This standard is included in DIN Handbook 402. Defines grades of continuously hot rolled low carbon steel sheet and strip for cold forming including chemical composition and mechanical properties. Applies to products between 1.5 mm and 8 mm thick. Does not apply to hot rolled products of non-alloy structural steels for general use, steel sheet for pressure purposes, steel sheet for welded gas cylinders or quenched and tempered steels, which are covered by other standards.
