Applies to as-received (field-moist) samples and specifies two different procedures for the liberation of cyanide from the soil: - direct liberation of hydrogen cyanide using orthophosphoric acid (normative); - extraction with sodium hydroxide solution and subsequent liberation using orthophosphoric acid.
