Applies to the electrical equipment for the supply of energy to battery-powered road vehicles. Does not apply to power installations for charging the electric storage batteries of industrial trucks (such as fork-lift trucks), indoor vehicles, engine starting/lighting, wheelchairs and ignition batteries or for other similar uses such as domestic or otherwise. It is also not applicable to rail vehicles or trolley buses.
