Provides for the application of voltage limitation for an insulation coordination in accordance with IEC 60364-4-443 and IEC 60664-1. Deals with erecting and selecting surge protective devices of installations of buildings to obtain a limitation of transient overvoltages of atmospheric origin for transmission by supply distribution system and against switching overvoltages generated by equipment within the installation. Also necessary to choose in order to protect against direct lightning strokes or those in the building vicinity.
