Establishes different quality programmes at various levels; qualification, design, installation, maintenance and periodic testing, and production quality control, dealing only with the qualification aspects. Requires strict control to ensure that subsequent equipment of the same type matches the qualification, that is applied, installed, maintained and periodically tested.
