Proposes specification for preservative treatment of veneer-based product for protection against decay, insect or borer attack. Proposes to cover preservative treatment of plywood, laminated veneer lumber (LVL), and combinations of these materials and other glued wood composites, e.g. components of engineered timber products such as I-beams. Proposes the bond type, preservative penetration patterns, and the preservative retention requirements suitable for each of hazard classes H1 to H6.
