Specifies a method for obtaining an average sample form a delivery, a batch or a stock of pulp in bales, and for determining the dry content and dry weight by means of suitable test results derived from this average sample. When a delivery consists of several batches, each batch must be tested individually. The method applies to bales which have a minimum height of 40 cm and whose moist weight is not more than 25% less than stated by the supplier; in the case of a 30 cm bale height, it is applicable up to 15% moist weight difference. Other, non-standardized methods are in use 1) for determining the dry weight of pulp consignments. On principle, therefore, the choice of test method is conditional on the supply agreement or consultation between the parties to the transaction.
