This Standard is included in DIN Handbook 202. In conjunction with DIN 1304 Part 1, specifies letter symbols for quantities specific to electric power engineering (i.e. the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity). Letter symbols specified in DIN 1304 Part 1 have been included here only as far as their meaning differs or has been restricted. For components of three-phase systems, the symbols and subscripts given in DIN 13321 shall apply. For symbols relating to time-dependent quantities and complex representation of sinusoidal time-dependent quantities, see DIN 5483 Parts 2 and 3.
